Facebook, a social networking site, provides many tools for staying in touch with your friends, family, and coworkers. If you want to keep your friends up to date, you need to know how to create a Facebook note. Notes are a great way to share what you are thinking about with all of your Facebook friends. When you post a note your friends can read it and respond with their thoughts as well. Notes combine social networking with blogging in a quick and easy way to stay in touch. You can begin posting new notes in a matter of minutes and soon all of your Facebook friends will be reading your updates.
Step 1: What is a Facebook Note?
Notes on Facebook are similar to blog posts. You can post whatever you like, an article, a quiz, a simple note about what you did today, and post it for all of your Facebook friends to see. Unlike status updates, notes can be much longer. You can tag your friends in your note, upload video, post links, and more. When you publish a note it will appear in the news feed of your Facebook friends and they will be able to view it, reply to it, and even make their own note in response. Facebook notes are a great way to share information, write a blog without actually having a blog, and keep in touch with everyone that you know on Facebook.
Step 2: Where to Locate Notes on Facebook
Before you can create a new note, you need to find the notes section of Facebook. First login to your Facebook account. Once you have logged in click the Notes link on the left-hand side of the screen. This will bring you to the notes section where you can create a new note or view all of the notes that your Facebook friends have posted. You can also view any notes that you have posted here. On the left-hand side, under Notes, you can choose to see only your notes, your drafts, or notes in which you are tagged. To create a new note click the + Write a Note button at the top of the page. This will open a blank note template that you can fill out and publish.
Step 3: Create a New Facebook Note
To create a Facebook note you need to begin filling out the note template. First you should add a title for your note in the Title dialog box. Below that, in the Body text box, you should type your full note. Below that you can choose to attach a picture to your note by uploading a file through the Upload a photo button. You can also import a photo that you have already uploaded by choosing it below. Choose a privacy setting for your note from the Note Privacy drop down box. At the top of the right-hand column, you may choose to tag your Facebook friends in the note. Type in the name of your friend and include them. When you publish your note, any tagged friends will be notified. Once you have finished perfecting your note, click the Publish button at the bottom of the page. You can also preview it, save a draft for future use, or discard the note entirely. Publishing your note will make it viewable to whomever you chose in your privacy settings.
