Step 1: Creating A Facebook Account

Before you can find friend on Facebook, you will have to sign up for a Facebook account. To do this, you will have to be at least 13 years of age and have a working email account. Following you will find the steps to take:

1. Start by going to Facebook.com.
2. The form page to sign up will require that you enter your first name, last name, email, password, sex and date of birth. After filling out the form click 'Sign Up'.
3. Check your email account for a registration email from Facebook. Confirm receipt of the email by click on the link in the email.

There are two ways to use an email account to find friend on Facebook. The first one is the Facebook 'Friend Finder' function. The steps are as follows:

1. Log into your Facebook account.
2. Click the 'Find Friends' tab in the upper right corner.
3. There will be a section called 'Find people you email'. Here you should enter your email address. Follow this by clicking 'Find Friends'.
4. The system will start looking through the address book of the email address you entered to find people that also have a Facebook page. You will see the system importing the data.
